Back to top Venues 1. Brewhouse Yard MapNestled below Nottingham Castle is the Brewhouse Yard, home of the museum of Nottingham Life. Interesting though it is you are more likely to be tempted by a visit to the Trip to Jerusalem which is just next door. I am told this is where Richard the Lionhart took his knights for a final pint before setting off on a crusade, I don't believe that and I don't suppose you do either. This is one of the three Nottingham pubs which claim to be the oldest in the county. Its rooms are cut into the sandstone below the castle. Have a look around but whatever you do don't clean the ghost ship or your lines will never be straight again. Back to top 2. Robin Hood Statue MapA chance to pose with Robin Hood just below the Castle's Main Gate. The Castle Bar is opposite where you may seek refreshment. Back to top 3. Chapel Bar Map Neither a bar or a chapel but a pedestrianised road leading down to the Market Square. An area well served by cafe's and bars for those that like that sort of thing. Back to top 4. Foreman Street Map A busy pedestrianised street where you are sure to attract an audience. Langtry's is conveniently located for those that can't dance when thirsty but if you want to take a drink outside you must be in the marked seated area. Please note Langtry's do not allow children on the premises. Back to top 5. Trinity Square Map Another busy area just along from Foreman Street. Back to top 6. Smithy Row Map The dancing is sure to attract a crowd in this busy shopping street. There is at least one interesting shop where you can obtain some alluring additions to your kit. Back to top 7. Market Square MapHere you will have to compete for the crowds attention with the big O. Back to top 8. The Bell Map Another one of Nottinghams oldest pubs in the country but probably with the strongest claim. If you want to have a drink outside you must be in the enclosed seated area. The Bell opens at 9.00am for those that fancy breakfast. Back to top 9. St.Peters Map Possibly the busiest venue in the main shopping area. Good for dancing but devoid of pubs. Back to top 10. Canalhouse Bar MapYes, this really is a bar and it is by the canal. Dancing is outside on the covered decking but have a look inside at the moored narrow boats. Back to top 11. Bridlesmith Gate Map A posh shopping street for the fashion conscious. We should make a nice contrast. Back to top 12. St.Mary's Gate Map A lovely Square just by the Buddist Centre. There are cafe's nearby but it is also worth a wander down towards High Pavement as on the way you will find the Keans Head serving some fine Castle Rock beers. The Keans Head is also one of the Rapper venues. Back to top 13. Goose Gate Map In an area known as Hockley and well served by bars. Any Goths among you might want to check out the clothing in Void. Back to top 14. Theatre Royal Map On a good day a lovely sunny spot giving fine views of the passing trams. Back to top 15. Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Map Open at 10.00am if you fancy a coffee before the dancing. Back to top 16. Kean's Head Map Open at 10.30am if you fancy a coffee or breakfast (take-away or sit-down) before the dancing. Back to top 17. Castle Inn Map Back to top 18. The Salutation Inn Map Back to top 19.
